Acer expands its Creator PC Line with a slick new convertible notebook. The ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro was developed with creators in mind and features Acer’s Ezel hinge, which allows it to be used in five modes: sharing mode, floating mode, stand mode, pad mode and display mode.
The device also has a large 4K IPS touch display that delivers more than 8 million pixels with a 400-nit high brightness rate, 100% RGB color gamut and color accuracy.
To further empower creators, ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro packs NVIDIA GeForce/ Quadro RTX GPU making it easy for 3D animators, cinematographers, videographers, engineers and other creative professionals to do their best work.
And don’t worry, ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro can take the heat of high intensity work with its 4th Gen Aeroblade 3D fans and Acer’s latest thermal cooling technology.
Here’s what sets it apart…
Its sculptured white aluminum chassis really stands out and makes quite the style statement while working on-the-go.
The device is ready to use out of the box. It comes complete with a stylus at no additional cost (a big win). Furthermore, it took me FOREVER to actually find the stylus. That may not sound like a good feature but wait until you find out why. I looked in the box and throughout the packaging several times for it but to no avail. That’s because, it’s not packaged (or sold) separately. Instead, a compartment for the stylus is built into the device, making it easy to keep up with it. Once I found out where the stylus was, this became my favorite feature, hands down.
It’s sturdy. ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro offers similar convertibility as other devices but it doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall apart when you move the screen. It’s also heavy because the device sports a 15.6 inch screen, larger than both the Apple iPad Pro (12.9 inch) and Microsoft Surface Pro X (13 inch). On the hand, its weight and large surface area make it heavy and a little less portable.
ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro has a Gorilla Glass 6 display with an anti-glare coating, which makes it easy to see images in brightly lit environments. I worked next to the L-shaped wall of windows in my home with no problem at all.
ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro features Wacom EMR pen technology for precision drawing. Consequently, it feels more like drawing on paper. It also doesn’t hurt that the EMR pen has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, which makes it feel like using a real ink pen and that’s probably why my kids liked it so much.
ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro was a hit with my budding artist who found it easy to draw on the device in pad mode. He enjoyed using the Paint 3D application which comes as part of the Microsoft software package. ConceptD was intended for professional creatives but novices can enjoy this device too.
Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro is a professional machine for creatives of all types and levels. If you’re a novice, the device won’t let you down but it’s next level tech for people who need serious computing power with a creative edge such as architects, animators and motion graphics creators.
